Modular timber structure for evolving spaces

Description

The structure is a prototype and shows how unused volumes in public buildings –foyers, event halls, restaurants – can be densified and transformed into open office spaces, meeting areas and reception areas.
The prototype is a kit of a few elements which can be applied and adapted additively and flexibly to different interior spaces.
It is demountable, reusable, and entirely made of wood.
The dimensions of the elements are designed so that they can be transported through existing windows and doors and assembled by a maximum of four people.
The whole structure is self-supporting and made of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) with a thickness of 69 cm. This ensures a fire resistance of 30 minutes.
