Lénkeschléi school complex
Decker, Lammar & Associés
Description
The Lenkeschléi school complex was designed in a way to encourage interactions not only between the students and their teachers, but also with the parents and the educators from the after-school care center, which is integrated in the same building. Starting from the three-story inner courtyard, a spacious staircase leads up to the upper floors. The piazzas of the various cycles are connected to this open space; they invite visitors to linger and can be used for learning activities that are to take place outside the classrooms. Despite their open design, these spaces have an intimate character and create a place where children can interact in a relaxed manner, fostering a sense of belonging.
