Landewyck Building – Une transformation qui laisse lire l’héritage.
BELVEDERE Architecture S.A.
Description
The Landewyck Building, a listed 1937 Bauhaus-inspired former tobacco factory, has been transformed into contemporary offices through a precise engagement with the existing. Guided by historical analysis, the project restores original spatial and formal qualities, preserves significant fabric and reinstates key features, including custom-made windows in the head building that recover its rounded corner geometry. A staircase inserted into the existing structure, together with a new entrance volume and a slender tower, supports contemporary use while reinforcing the ensemble’s industrial memory, restrained contemporary expression and urban role at the threshold of Parc Landewyck.
