Description
The new village hall in Clemency balances the language of modern architecture with local social life. It demonstrates that architectural and popular cultures can coexist, offering a place for celebration within a refined setting of concrete, metal and glass. The design reinterprets modernist codes through a subtle grid of perceived rectangles and industrial materials. Integrating the former “Maison Droy”, the project remains discreet towards the village while opening towards the inner courtyard with a steel canopy. The layout reduces noise and volume impact by embedding the building into the topography, with particular attention given to acoustic quality.
