Inhabiting Memory: Casino Infolab & Casino Display
NJOY
Description
Casino Luxembourg commissioned NJOY for two interventions in distinct historical buildings - Casino InfoLab and Casino Display - both aimed at enhancing accessibility to contemporary art. In both, we created discreet spaces that blend with the existing architecture. At Casino Display, we stripped away layers from the 1980s to reveal the building’s heritage, incorporating subtle elements like a reading nook and an artist’s studio. At Casino InfoLab, a simple gesture was made that feels like it has always belonged: integrating foldable semicircular tables into the window niches, creating an inviting atmosphere and a harmonious play of proportions that resonates with the architectural rhythm.
