AA Visiting School Luxembourg – European Capital of Culture

Named after the 'European Capital of Culture’, the 2nd edition of the ‘AA Visiting School Luxembourg’ was a two-week architectural workshop in Luxembourg in 2022.
It offered an educational framework for participants to research spatial projects within Esch2022 and to design a collective response.
By asking “if cultural events can indeed lead to urban and social regeneration, what’s the role of architecture within their production?”, participants spoke at a public roundtable event, built pivotal structures from reclaimed materials, curated the exhibition ‘Unfinished’ and more. In this way, the workshop positioned process as the driver of both architectural discourse and spatial intervention.
