Rénovation des 15 logements pour artistes dans le bâtiment Bruch au Centre Culturel de rencontre de l’Abbaye de Neimënster

The project to renovate 15 accommodations for artists in the Bruch building, also called "Criminel", began with winning an architectural competition organized by the Cultural Center of Neimënster Abbey, located on a historic UNESCO site in Luxembourg. The studios, duplexes and apartments, which were all former men's prison cells until 2004, had to be renovated to become fully functional accommodations. The priorities of our project were: Treat the historic building with great respect, without modifying the existing substance and optimize the spaces. The objective was also to create anonymous housing that could suit all kind of people, while giving them a strong aesthetic and design.
