Description

The estate of sculptor Albert Hames becomes the origin of SPEKTRUM, a prototype immersive arts centre. The 1950s house is stripped to a near-forensic state, revealing a calibrated relic where programme is inserted with precision: preserved studio, gallery, immersive suites, and shared spaces form a continuous field between domesticity and exhibition. Rather than correcting the existing, the project amplifies it, integrating contemporary standards without visible layers. Behind it, an extension in raw concrete and a rough aluminium façade echoes and distorts the house, opening workshops and spaces towards a hybrid landscape—immersion into the pastoral, industrial, and territorial.
