“Mansfeld Revisited” is the result of a collaboration between Luxembourg City’s Urban Planning Department and the University of Luxembourg’s Institute of History, featuring ten contributions from a 2022 symposium. It consolidates research on the Renaissance château “La Fontaine,” built from 1570 by Governor Peter Ernst von Mansfeld, and provides a strategic framework for its preservation and future use. The bilingual publication combines scholarly analysis with visual documentation and situates the site in an international heritage context. Recommendations focus on valorisation, landscape integration, and inclusive public programming, informing award-winning redevelopment proposals.
