The project operates through a dialectic between preservation and contemporary intervention. Key heritage elements are carefully restored, while later discordant additions are removed in order to clarify the architectural reading of the structure.
The intervention materializes through the addition of a contemporary annex in exposed concrete, conceived as an autonomous entity. Through its raw materiality and minimalist expression, it establishes a deliberate contrast with the historic fabric, explicitly rejecting any mimetic approach. This controlled stylistic dissociation enhances, by contrast, the intrinsic qualities of the original building.
