OAKLAND I

Oakland I is a small high-quality residential building in the city of Luxembourg with a total of eight apartments spread over four floors. The special character of the building is laid on the very different apartment sizes. The units between 48 and 150 m2 are fit into one volume in order that everyone can equally enjoy the views and the sun.
A semi-buried garage which is easily accessible and a discreet common garden round off the services.
All eight individualized apartments are accessible through a naturally lit entrance hall and stairwell.
Most of the apartments use space sparingly and are well-equipped with wooden built-in furniture, which helps to create a homey and high-quality atmosphere.
By deliberately choosing and combining the colours of the neighbourhood the building acknowledges its belonging to the area but discreetly introduces a new era through its geometry and materials.
Natural materials prevail from the façade to the interior design. This aspect favours the motto “cradle-to-cradle”, a guideline that promotes the recycling of all materials and provide their living cycle.
