FLOATER
SKIN
Description
This video presents the Floater in Dudelange, a unique architectural intervention designed by M3 Architectes and Franck Miltgen, that merges sculpture, landscape, and industrial heritage. Beyond showcasing the structure itself, the film highlights the project’s conceptual origins—rooted in a 3D scan of a nearby rock face, whose geometry was translated into the building’s expressive façade.
Set within the former cooling basins of the historic steelworks, the Floater is positioned as a singular object within a vast, reflective environment—almost an arena that amplifies its presence. The video captures this dialogue between form, material, and context, emphasizing how the project transforms a post-industrial site into a poetic spatial experience. Music composition by Matthew J. Simpson
