Description

Faced with demand for flexible office space, a+a designed a four-storey building based on the CREE hybrid timber-concrete system, with prefabricated slabs and beams assembled on site. This low-carbon structural choice drives all architectural decisions: modular grid, prefabricated façades with integrated solar shading, and concrete cores for stability. Two offset volumes connected by an atrium generate cantilevered outdoor terraces. A green roof, heat pumps, solar panels and active ceilings complete the energy strategy (class B). Materials were selected against BREEAM and Cradle to Cradle standards, ensuring full lifecycle traceability. BREEAM Very Good certification achieved.
