Description

Pilot project for sustainable construction, structured around three pillars: architecture, materials and systems. Bioclimatic design optimizes orientation, daylight, solar shading and natural ventilation, with a central atrium enhancing comfort and energy performance. First school in Luxembourg built with local timber, combined with bio-based and recycled materials (cork façade, textile insulation), ensuring an excellent carbon footprint. Positive-energy building using an ice storage heating system, hybrid solar panels and natural ventilation. Awarded the Eurosolar Prize 2023 and DGNB Platinum certification with the highest score worldwide for a school building.
