MUSÉE NATIONAL DE LA RÉSISTANCE ET DES DROITS HUMAINS
NJOY
Description
The MNRDH presents World War II through Luxembourg's perspective - resistance, collaboration, Nazi rule, the Shoah - raising a fundamental question: what does it mean to resist? NJOY conceived a scenography where each spatial decision is an act of representation. Mirrored monoliths reflect visitors alongside fragments of testimony - victims and perpetrators - confronting each with their responsibility. Interactive devices give the Grand Narrative a human face.
In the extension, overlapping metal grids embody the ambiguities and grey zones of each subject. Showcases, photographs and touchscreens build a dense trilingual narrative.
A new section on human rights opens the past onto the present.
