Pavillon-brasserie du Parc de Gasperich
Diane Heirend architecture & urbanisme
Description
Set against a backdrop of contrasting scales, on the boundary between the city and the park, the brasserie serves as a transitional space. The project was conceived as a pivotal element, cultivating a relationship between different scales and uses.
The challenge was to create a building that is both discreet and distinctive.
Our solution is organised around a central transparent volume, flanked by two more compact volumes. This arrangement filters the views, defines the uses and creates a gradation between open and more intimate spaces. The project is thus constructed as a succession of thresholds and transitions, where the architecture serves the uses and the site.
